An automatic tarp system uses an electric motor and a roller tube to deploy a tarp over a dump truck or trailer bed at the push of a button. Operators control it from inside the cab — no climbing, no manual cranking. Pulltarps automatic systems cover or uncover a full load in under 30 seconds.
Automatic systems are electric, in-cab controlled, and the fastest to deploy — best for high-cycle operations and Class 7-9 trucks. Semi-automatic systems use a spring-assisted ratchet that the operator pulls manually — lower cost, no electrical install. EZ-Fit kits are bolt-on solutions for smaller landscape and work trucks. Yes. The Open 9000E and Steel Protector + both fit dump trailers as well as dump trucks, provided the bed dimensions are within range. For trailers outside standard ranges, the configurator builds to your exact spec.
